File Server

Today’s offices have more and more documents. As a result there is a need to securely store private and shared files. Impera’s file server is designed to provide a simple, reliable way store and share documents. For added peace of mind – the Impera file server comes with dual hard drives and all data is backed up on both hard drives (using a technology called RAID).

Public & Private Folders

The file server comes pre-configured so that each user has a private folder and the company has a public folder. The private folder is only accessible to the user. The public folder is accessible to all users. These folders are easily accessed from any computer in the office. Users can create additional sub-folders so that files can be easily managed.

Easily Accessible

Users can easily access any folder they have permission to view. There are several ways users can access their folders:

  • Desktop Shortcut: Add shortcut links on your desktop to one or more folders
  • Network Neighborhood: Access through Microsoft’s Network Neighborhood

Offsite back-up

For added security, Impera can back up all your files on the file server to our data center! Most small businesses rely on documents that are stored on personal computers. If one of those computers is damaged, breaks or is lost there the entire business suffers. Impera backs up 1 Gig of data (1000 Megs) per user and for the shared company folder. Types of files

You can store any type of file in the file server. Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Adobe PDF files, Quickbooks and many other file formats can be stored.
